A LONG-TERM VISION FOR THE HARLEQUINS NEIGHBOURHOOD
Welcome to this Harlequins consultation website, to present and hear from you on our bold vision for the redevelopment of our Twickenham Stoop site.
Working together with our neighbours and supporters, we intend to co-create ‘The Harlequins Neighbourhood’ – an exciting new destination with world-renowned health facilities and services, and a new state-of-the-art multi-use venue at its heart.
Having celebrated our 150th anniversary in 2017, Harlequins remains one of the most recognised sports clubs in the world.
Our 1st Team plays in the most competitive and watched league, and along with our Harlequins Women, A Team, Harlequins Amateurs and international affiliate clubs, our reach and resonance is unparalleled across club rugby.
We are however committed to being something bigger than a rugby club and it is our relentless ambition that constantly drives us to do more for the people we serve, making a positive social, cultural and economic impact on the local area, and putting our supporters and our community at the heart of everything we do.
We intend to explore this exciting opportunity with the determination and innovation synonymous with the Harlequins spirit. Working with our neighbours, supporters, partners and Richmond Council, we are committed to delivering demonstrable change for the community, our Club, the Borough and for London.
Our neighbours and supporters are vital in helping us shape our plans.
We cannot deliver this vision alone. Our aspirations will continually evolve through discussion with residents and Richmond Council as we engage and listen to the public’s views. We are not only committed to fully consult, but we believe that success cannot be achieved without the input of our neighbours and other stakeholders.
Over the next few months we will be presenting our early concepts and emerging designs to the local community, our supporters and stakeholders, via surveys, public drop-in exhibitions, community meetings and online updates.
It is our intention to create something truly special, working closely with our neighbours, supporters, Richmond Council and our partners who will all be vital in helping us to shape our plans.
